Oh boy, I’m very jealous indeed. Laughing Squid had a free Ferrari laptop by Acer. It had Windows Vista Ultimate installed in it. I wonder how Microsoft decides who to give the free laptops to. I need one too. The PC has crashed and I’m just too tired to troubleshoot it.
I’m a blogger too, athough I haven’t been blogging much about Microsoft. Maybe the negative remarks doesn’t entitle me to the free stuff. However, a reward with any laptop or PC even if it’s just a review version, I don’t mind. At all. Please?
A list of those who have been given the free laptops is here. Aye, this post ain’t sponsored either. Maybe I should sign up with some sites on being paid per post. I wonder if I would get blogger’s block if there is a random topic thrown at me.
Just imagine how the lack of Internet has caused such a delay in knowing such news! However, such things usually have controversies. Brian Solis has summarised the points, yes, I agree with inciting bloggers to be jealous and alienated part.
The most discussed issue was the disclosure. The laptops were to be reviewed, post the reviews or not, give away or return the Microsoft and keep it. Hmm. I am so jealous.

That pay per post thing is balls…the thing I love about reading blogs is that it’s (usually!) honest opinions, people’s thoughts and feelings about everything from their daily life to the computers they use at work to movies they watch. If loads of people start being ’sponsored’ to pimp certain companies, products or sites blogs will just end up as meaningless crap. Doesn’t mean I’ve never thought about it though…I just thought better of it in the end.
When too many people starts to pimp certain companies, it does seem meaningless in the end. I think I shall pimp my blog instead
